The No-Contact Thermometer detects the infrared rays that an object emits. The instrument focuses the infrared energy of the object through the lens and onto a sensor. As a result, the instrument changes the surface temperature into an electrical signal, and a microcomputer calculates and displays the measured temperature on the LCD.
